wondering if someone was waiting.
Waiting to catch my torn body.
I stand on a rooftop,
saying my apologies.
To the people I've hurt in my past,
my present and in my future.
When I look down at my feet,
that inch closer and closer to the edge.
I think what would happen,
if I didn't fall.
I'd face a life of pain,
and I'd face a life of regret.
I'd face the people I've hurt,
and I'd face the memories of my past.
If I were to fall is the true question.
I'd be free from the demons,
who haunt my dreams.
And the devil who haunts me when my eyes are open.
